Hi! Welcome to my weather blog, Bay State Weather.

My name is Brian Treanor and I am a meteorologist with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. I’ve had a passion for the science of Meteorology since the 6th grade and have always enjoyed analyzing, forecasting and communicating with people about the weather.

Here at Bay State Weather my intention is to inform and provide information that you can use to plan your day. I have worked in the private sector as a meteorologist but my primary occupation is in the field of IT. My understanding of technology and the ability to apply technology solutions to the art and science of weather forecasting allows me to use state of the art forecasting tools available on the Internet like AWIPS, RadarScope, GRLevelX products and more. These tools also allow me to provide you with engaging visuals to help you understand what weather is coming your way.

I am running this site as a way to express my passion for weather forecasting and meteorology in general. I also hope to help people with accurate and informative forecasts.

Weather is a part of each day of our lives. My mission is to provide you with information that will help you move through the days in your life just a little bit easier.
